Asian Group Standard of Points - Self
(Breed 72: a-j, n, fn, p)
Note: For all Asian Selfs it is very difficult to attain a consistent colour through the length of the hair shaft and some paling to the roots can be allowed for as long as it is a slightly paler shade of the coat colour. Any other colour over major areas of the body should be penalised.
BOMBAY (72)
Coat Colour - One of the chief characteristics of the Bombay is the coat which looks like black shimmering patent leather. The coat must be very close-lying to produce this effect in the adult cat.
Note: Kitten coats need time to develop full pigmentation and the patent leather effect.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green acceptable with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Nose leather and eye rims solid black. Paw pads solid black or very dark brown.

Withhold Certificates or First Prizes in Kitten Open Classes for:
1. A noticeable number of white hairs
2. Coat not coloured to the roots
3. Rusty tinge to coat in adults

ASIAN BLUE (72a)
Coat Colour - Medium to dark blue, coloured to the roots.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Solid blue.
Withhold all Awards for:
1. Any evidence of Burmese colour restriction.
Withhold Certificates or First Prizes in Kitten Open Classes for:
1. Coat not coloured to the roots
2. A noticeable number of white hairs
3. Any unevenness of colour on the surface of the coat
4. Distinct tabby markings except in kittens

ASIAN CHOCOLATE (72b)
Coat Colour - Rich warm chestnut brown. No dark or cold tones.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Brown or pinkish brown.
Withhold all Awards for:
1. Any evidence of Burmese colour restriction.
Withhold Certificates or First Prizes in Kitten Open Classes for:
1. Coat not coloured to the roots
2. A noticeable number of white hairs
3. Any unevenness of colour on the surface of the coat

ASIAN LILAC (72c)
Coat Colour - Frosty grey with a distinct pinkish tone, giving an overall appearance of lilac. Colour too blue or too fawn is undesirable.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Pinkish lilac.

ASIAN RED (72d)
Coat Colour - Rich intense red, as even as possible. Slight tabby markings and some shading to paler roots may be evident and should not penalise an otherwise good cat.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Pink.
Note: 'Freckles' may appear on nose, paw pads, lips, eye rims and ears. Slight freckling in a mature cat should not be penalised.

ASIAN CREAM (72l)
Coat Colour - Medium cool-toned cream, as even as possible. Slight tabby markings and some shading to paler roots may be evident and should not penalise an otherwise good cat.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept-able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Pink.

ASIAN CARAMEL (72n)
Coat Colour - Cool-toned bluish fawn. With maturity a soft metallic sheen may be seen. The tone of caramel colour may vary depending upon whether it is blue or lilac based.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept-able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Bluish fawn.

ASIAN APRICOT (72fn)
Coat Colour - Cool dusty cast over warm intense pinkish cream. With maturity a soft metallic sheen may be seen. Slight tabby markings and some shading to paler roots may be evident and should not penalise an otherwise good cat.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Pink.

ASIAN TORTIES
Coat Colour - The base colour of all Asian Tallies should be coloured to the roots. The colours may be mingled or blotched; blazes, solid legs or tails are all permissible.
Eye Colour - Gold preferred, yellow through to green accept¬able with preference given to greater depth of colour.
Nose Leather, Eye Rims and Paw Pads - Appropriate to coat colour and/or pink.
BLACK TORTIE (72e)
Jet black with shades of red.
BLUE TORTIE (72g)
Medium to dark blue with shades of cream.
CHOCOLATE TORTIE (72h)
Rich warm chestnut brown with shades of red.
LILAC TORTIE (72j)
Frosty grey with a distinct pinkish cast, giving an overall appearance of lilac, with shades of cream.
CARAMEL TORTIE (72p)
Cool-toned bluish fawn with shades of apricot. With maturity a soft metallic sheen may be seen. The tone of caramel colour may vary depending upon whether it is blue or lilac based.
